NC semi-automatic tube bender for thick-wall tube up to Φ115 × 6 mm on a 3750 mm mandrel. The heavy hydraulic head holds section on 6 mm wall, which is where lighter benders start to wrinkle. Bending at 32°/s with ±0.1° angle repeatability, 185° maximum bend.

Overview

The 115NC tube bender is an NC hydraulic pipe bender for Φ115 × 6 mm mild steel or Φ88.9 × 2 mm stainless, on a 22 kW drive with a 3750 mm mandrel and a 500 mm maximum bend radius.

This is where the NC range crosses from tube work into pipe work — a 6 mm wall is structural, not decorative. Machine weight goes from 2200 kg on the 89NC to 7000 kg here while the motor doubles, because mass is what resists the bending reaction. Shipbuilding, boiler work and pipe spool fabrication are the usual buyers.

115NC NC Semi-Automatic Tube Bender — Common Questions

Up to 6.0 mm at Φ115 mm in carbon steel; in stainless the rating is Φ88.9 × 2.0 mm. This is where the NC range crosses from tube work into pipe work — a 6 mm wall is structural, not decorative.

Mass is what resists the bending reaction. Going from the 89NC to the 115NC roughly triples the weight (2200 kg to 7000 kg) and doubles the motor (11 kW to 22 kW), because the force needed to bend a Φ115 × 6 mm pipe is far more than the diameter step alone suggests.

At 7000 kg the machine ships in a single crate and needs a forklift or crane of matching capacity to place it. It should be sited on a level industrial floor and levelled before commissioning. Overseas installation and operator training are available.

Shipbuilding, boiler and pressure work, heavy vehicle chassis, and pipe spool fabrication. All of these bend medium-diameter thick-wall pipe in modest quantities per part number, which is the case an NC bender suits better than a CNC.

500 mm, the same as the 130NC. Radius capability is set by the bend die and the machine's die-mounting geometry rather than by the drive, so two adjacent models often share a figure.
