Overview

The 50CNC pipe bending machine is a five-axis CNC pipe bender for tube up to Φ50.8 × 3 mm, with servo bend, feed and rotation and hydraulic clamping. Maximum bend radius is 250 mm on a 3000 mm mandrel.

What this model is bought for is left-and-right bending: a part that turns one way then the other is completed without unclamping. Turning a tube over to reach the second direction loses the datum, and on a chassis member or a seat frame that shows up as asymmetry at assembly. With LR tooling and matched bending dies the whole part runs from one program.

Pipe Bending Machine 50CNC — Common Questions

Φ50.8 × 3 mm carbon steel, on a 1.5 tonne frame with a maximum bend radius of 250 mm and 3000 mm mandrel length. Bend, feed and rotation all repeat to ±0.1.

Yes, with left-and-right tooling fitted. Parts that need bends in opposite directions — chassis members, seat frames, chair legs — otherwise have to be turned over and reset, which loses the datum. LR tooling keeps one setup.

A stacked die set holds two or more radii on one bend die, so a part with two different centre-line radii is made in one setup instead of two. You need it when a single part mixes radii; if all your bends share a radius, single-stack tooling is simpler and cheaper.

Recalling a stored program is immediate. What takes time is the physical tooling change if the new part uses a different die set — typically well under an hour on this size of machine, and nothing at all if the parts share tooling.

The bending, clamping and mandrel functions are hydraulic and electric on this model. Air is used for auxiliary functions where fitted. Full utility requirements are confirmed with the order so the site is ready at delivery.
