Overview
The 180 hydraulic pipe chamfering machine is a single-head unit — the largest in the Telhoo chamfering range. The model number is the guide capacity: the pneumatic 50 and 80 cover pipe up to Φ50 mm and Φ80 mm, and the 180 takes the range above them, up to Φ180 mm.
The operator loads the pipe by hand and the machine does the rest. Hydraulic clamping grips the section so it cannot creep mid-cut, then the cutterhead feeds in under hydraulic power and trims the inner edge, the outer edge and the end face in one cycle. Because the feed is hydraulic rather than hand-fed, the chamfer angle and depth come out the same on the last part of a batch as on the first.
Why the hydraulic model
Air-driven chamfering is quick and compact, which is why the 50 and 80 suit thin-wall tube and high-volume work. Once the wall gets thick or the material gets hard, air pressure alone stops holding steady cutting force and the tool begins to chatter — you see it as a rough face and shortened tool life. Hydraulic drive keeps the force constant through the whole cut, which is what makes heavy-wall pipe, stainless and larger diameters practical on one machine.
Materials and typical work
Steel, iron, stainless steel, aluminium, bronze and other non-ferrous metals, plus plastics with the matching cutterhead.
Typical jobs: weld preparation on pipe spool and structural fabrication, deburring after sawing, and end facing before threading or assembly. The chamfer comes off smooth and burr-free, so the part goes straight to the next station.
